The Imperial Gala Concert features a curated selection of the most beloved pieces from the golden age of Viennese classical music. The program highlights masterpieces by composers who share a historical connection with Palais Auersperg.
Enjoy iconic works such as Eine kleine Nachtmusik and the dazzling “Queen of the Night” aria from The Magic Flute. Mozart himself conducted the Viennese premiere of his opera Idomeneo at Palais Auersperg in 1786.
The “Waltz King,” who performed frequently at Palais Auersperg, is represented with lively waltzes, polkas and marches — including The Blue Danube, the Emperor Waltz, the Radetzky March, and many more.
The concert also includes excerpts from Vivaldi’s celebrated cycle The Four Seasons, one of the most influential works of the Baroque era.
The program is rounded out with musical gems by composers such as Johann Pachelbel, Franz Lehár and other icons of classical music, creating a rich and varied journey through different musical periods.
